Elon Musk Says Other Automakers Are Using Tesla Superchargers

One of Tesla Inc's (NASDAQ: TSLA) biggest strengths is its electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The Tesla Supercharger network has over 20,000 electric vehicle chargers worldwide and is rapidly expanding. A Tesla owner can travel virtually anywhere U.S. and be able to charge their vehicle quickly at a Supercharger station.

CEO Elon Musk has said in the past that the Tesla Supercharger network is open to use by other electric vehicle manufacturers, but to use the system other companies would need to help invest in the expansion of the network. As of today, no other company is known to use the Supercharger network.

However Musk says Superchargers are being made available to other electric cars. He didn't mention what other companies are currently working on Supercharger compatability.
